
Rachel Dreyer is a music producer, visual artist and DJ with a global cv, playing and showing her work at parties, clubs and gallery openings in London, Berlin, Sydney, Auckland and Chiang Mai Thailand. Rachel likes to incorporate her own tunes and edits into her DJ sets. Her years working as a sound engineer in London saw her writing and releasing music on Fire Records with the post-rock band Bark Psychosis, and playing with members of Brixton’s Alabama 3 as the electronic Act AlexOne and hosting a regular radio show on the station Housedem. During time in New Zealand she was involved with a club based shows with Auckland band Substax. Since returning to NZ in 2020 she has been DJing, collaborating on club events combining music and visual art, and writing and performing. Through Ponsonby’s Te Ahu Collective she collaborated on the show Life on Mars as part of Light up Ponsonby Festival. Rachel was selected as a participant in the Women about Sound mentorship program for 2022. Recently she has been a resident DJ for Redlining as well as working on musical collaborations with local producer and MC vocalist Summer C, she has also joined forces with UK Garage Grime and Hip hop MCs JKB and K.D. Rachel founded Mama’s Crib in 2023 hosting clubnights and livestreamed events. She has since created Slice of Nice, a bass focused imprint that also brings together British and NZ artists and producers

JKB has been MCing and rapping since the age of 16. Originally hailing from North London, he cut his musical teeth vibing on the old-school garage sounds at London raves. He has performed in the past with a number of well known people on the UK scene, including Nicky Blackmarket and NuTone, andt many others. He has since entertained crowds at drum and bass and Hip Hop events across the globe. His biggest Gigs to date were at Ko Phangan Full Moon Party, and Club Castles.
Releasing his first Hip Hop EP "Reflections" in 2016, he sold a number of copies worldwide, with one song in particular, Fade Away gaining international recognition.

JKB’s recent gigs included MCing alongside DJ Kayes, Kangs Music, DJ Sizzler, and Henri. Musical Influences - Dizzee Rascal, Heartless Crew, Big L, MC Skibadee, Nipsey Hussle, MC Eksman, MC B-Live.

MC K.D is rapper and MC with a lyrical dexterity which can match all tempos, from hip hop to drum and bass. He started his musical career as a rapper as part Relentless Crew, the winners of the MC Group award at the prestigious U.K. Unsigned competition in 2008. Between 2008 and 2014, the group performed across the U.K. (Doncaster Stadium, Hackney Empire) and abroad in Cyprus. The group also licensed their popular American Football themed song, ‘Warriors of Gridiron’, to the UK’s biggest sports broadcaster, Sky Sports, for their NFL coverage.
Since leaving the group, K.D has become a permanent resident of NZ, and is still pursuing music. He’s now a part of a collective seeking to bring NZ Garage to the forefront in NZ.

Summer’s low-income upbringing, and experience of being a teen mom, has resulted in soulful depth and connection to community, and has led her to always push for inclusivity in her music.
Her musical roots are DnB and NZ-style dub inspired by Rhombus, Salmonella Dub, Tiki Taane, MC TALI and overseas acts Boris Brejcha, Township Rebellion, Thievery Corporation, and Massive Attack. Her vocal style references the women of early House music, like Crystal Waters, when live vocal performances were a fixture of the club scene.
